This is an original Chanabier absinthe bottle. The bottle was produced in two parts then joined together. The top of the bottle was mouth blown into a mold and the bottom mouth blown separately. The mold produced the words "ABSINTHE CHANABIER" and a circular seal in relief.
The Chanabier Pere & Fils distillery was located in Aurillac in the department of Puy-de-Dome, in central-southern France. The earliest known recorded history of the distillery dates back to 1894.
