Heritage Absinthe Verte (136 proof / 68% ABV) is a French made absinthe with a "vintage" personality, distilled near Alsace in the historic distilling town of Fougerolles. Created in a 150 year old distillery, it follows a traditional recipe including grande wormwood, fennel, green anise and other selected herbs. Heritage Verte is extremely intense from this herbal composition: Once the bottle is opened a beautiful perfume of wormwood fills the room.
"Heritage is an interesting take on absinthe. It starts almost more of a forest green compared to a peridot, and louches up quickly with green, white and yellow hues dancing around in the glass. The aroma both before and after water is sweet and inviting, with lots of anise. Hints of coloring herbs playing around in the background too. The flavor Is sweet on the front and mid palate with a good deal of candy-like star anise which also brings a noticeable tongue numbing sensation, which is normal in brands that have this ingredient. You definitely won’t need sugar with this one."
