This is an original postcard dating back to the pre-ban absinthe era (before 1915). It features an advertisement in Marseille, France for Gempp Pernod and Oxygenée Cusenier absinthes. In those days advertisements like these were among the only mediums that were available to promote a distillery's absinthe.
